Hae-Uk focuses on Japanese acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She worked as a physician in Berlin for several years before studying acupuncture in China and Australia, where she was introduced to the Japanese style of acupuncture.

Since then she has furthered her training in Australia and Japan and completed her postgraduate training in Dr Yoshio Manaka protocols and Kiiko Matsumoto’s clinical strategies. In the last four years, Hae-Uk has been taught under Tsuyoshi Shimamura Senseï, an eminent Japanese acupuncturist and former apprentice of the Master acupuncturist, Kiyoshi Nagano. She completed her post-graduate training in Nagano style acupuncture in March 2019.

Hae-Uk has been working in the field of East Asian medicine for the past 22 years and is a co–founder of the Ondol Oriental Medicine Clinic. Her interest lies in life style medicine with an emphasis on relaxation methods and nutrition as well as women’s health.

Additionally, after completing her postgraduate studies in counselling at the Australian College of Applied Psychology in 2004, she incorporated stress & anxiety management into her scope of treatments.

Over the last several years Hae-Uk has developed a passion for Classical herbal medicine. She underwent an intensive postgraduate training program under internationally renowned scholar Dr Arnaud Versluys, founder of the Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine in Portland, USA. The training allowed participants to develop a deep understanding of Classical formulas and to apply their clinical relevance into a contemporary context. In January 2014, Hae-Uk graduated after completing her three-year training.

Hae-Uk is also a licensed practitioner of the CyberScan Professional biofeedback device, which was developed and manufactured in Germany. It offers a re-balancing of the body with quantum physics based technology. Hae-Uk’s combined knowledge of Western and Eastern medicine is of great advantage in analysing the results of the CyberScan device.
