This video reveals the ins and outs of Cupping, an ancient technique dating back as far as 1550 B.C. It was not only applied in ancient China, but also in many other countries worldwide as a form of ‘home therapy’.
Cupping is generally performed to dispel stagnation (stagnant blood and lymph), thereby improving Qi and blood flow to facilitate healing. Cupping may assist in easing muscle knots, swelling and pain. Practitioners often apply it in combination with acupuncture for back, neck and shoulder pains and stiff and tight muscles in general.
